Beaumont Charity Ride

Beaumont Charity Ride

The first ride of the year (around May) that the Dualies put on is our Charity Ride. We start in Beaumont and ride up some great roads and trails into Idyllwild for lunch and then back down the mountain for about 140 miles of fun! This ride was started by our former President, Dave Harlan.

Dave spent a great deal of time riding and exploring this area to come up with this ride. As a club, we wanted a ride closer to where we all lived that we could put on to raise money for our club charity, Ride For Kids. Dave’s efforts and the continued efforts of other Dualies, have provided many people the opportunity to ride an area where most riders didn’t know there were trails.

We have been fortunate to have a great dealership to host the start/finish of our ride each year. Beaumont Cycles has been with us from the inception and continue to open up early for us to have signup and help us promote the ride. All of the funds we raise from this ride go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (aka Ride for kids).
The ride offers some spectacular views so you’ll want to remember your camera. You’ll find hard ways that will challenge experienced riders or easy fire roads that can help a newer rider gain valuable riding experience.  Temperatures can vary significantly from desert floor to lunch in Idyllwild so remember to dress accordingly!
