Most rides supply you with a map but the "roll chart" is your primary navigation tool. The roll chart is a long strip of paper with all the the specific directions for you to navigate the course.
If you’ve never ridden with a roll chart, find someone who has
so you can learn without (hopefully) getting lost.!
It fits into a roll chart holder and is “loaded” by taping the end of the chart to the bottom reel and winding it up. Then tape the top and roll the top roller to navigate. Your motorcycle should have an odometer that is resettable by tenths (you can ride with a standard resettable odometer but it can be a little more challenging).
