Charity Ride
We netted approx $7800 on the ride this year. We will be modifying the course next year to avoid some sensitive access area along Poppet Flats road. The owner was gracious enough to allow us to use this route this year, but would like us to find a different path through this area and we will comply with his wishes.
On Any Sunday Showing
We had another great turnout this year, and raised $38,000 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. There are three autographed posters left over (along with 8 Polo Shirts). We plan to offer one of the posters on eBay, and depending on how well it sells, we may eBay the other two, or we may gift them to out two top sponsors of the show, Tucker-Rocky ($5K) and Motorcycle Retro Magazine ($3K)
Rides
The Dualies will be participating in and sweeping the PBTF ride on June 8, with John Epperly arranging the sweep riders. We will probably be the number one contributing club again this year. John also requested some people to bring their laptops to help upload GPS tracks for the ride. The amount that the club will donate to the PBTF will be a minimum of $43, 225. We may donate additional amount depending on how the funds come in prior to the ride.
There will be a 7 AM meeting prior to the ride where the portion of the amount above will be doled out to Dualies members depending on whether they are a paid up member, and their level of participation in the club activities in the prior year.
There was discussion as to what to do with the 2008 CRF 100 that the club usually wins due the amount we donate. Title to the bikes was offered for $1500, with the winner writing a check for that amount (and tax and registration) and taking possession. There were no takers at the meeting, so we will probably have Larry H take possession and arrange for the sale at a later date.
Vice President/Referee/GPS Guy John Epperly
John is organizing a Mammoth Mountain ride for the last weekend in June (27-29). Interested members will arrange their own accommodations at the Alpenhof Lodge, and enjoy 2 days of trail riding in the area finishing up with attending the Mammoth Motocross Races on Sunday.
Treasurer Dennis Towgood
We netted a significant amount of money from both the Charity Ride and the OAS showing, and will be making an appropriate donation to the PBTF at the RFK. See Presidents report for the figures
Secretary Ron Sobchik
We need to arrange for another trail maintenance party for our trails in Lake Arrowhead. We also need to arrange for the formal adoption ceremony and signing of 3W11 trail which the Dualies took over for Ridenet. Proposed Dualie Burgers for lunch as a inducement to attract additional Dualie Participation
Larry Harmeier suggested that we make this the first club ride of the season, and that we camp where the RFK always has the hot dog lunch for that ride. Since we are dual sported, we can camp there by Lake Silverwood and then ride up to our Trails at Arrowhead. For those who do not care to camp, the can drive up to North Shore Work Center and participate from there.

We were urged to come out for the Ride for Kids dressed as Dualie members, even if we were not going to ride. While the final numbers were not in, our donation to PBTF was expected to easily exceed the past OAS year donation of $43 K (Actual donation this year was $53K) and a large club turnout would show that we are one of the top Southern California Dual Sport Clubs and leading D-37 fund raiser for the PBTF.
