2017 RIDES & PHOTOS

Baja NO Wimps Ride

Newbie Ride

Palms 2 Pines

March Club Ride

5 Dualies and 1 guest staged out of Hesperia with the intention of surveying the 2 adopted trails 2W01 and 3W11 in the Arrowhead area.  We were partly successful in that we rode 2W01 wearing some rocks and noting that a previous area identified as an erosion risk will probably need some shoring up, although it was still passable  As expected, the Deep Creek Crossing was too deep to successfully cross.

We returned to the beginning of the trail, split into two groups, one lead by Dan Sapia who wanted to explored a single track, and myself and newcomer John, who decided to take the roads to Big Pine Flat and thence to the Malt Shop for lunch.  While we all made it to the lunch, it took us much longer that expected.  Dan’s group struggled to make it due to Dan’s rear axle bearings destructed,  turning their ride into an order to get him them.

After finishing lunch, it was 4 PM, and we decided that we wanted to get back to the truck before dark, so we decided not to survey 3W1, in instead take highway 18 to 138,  t 73  and back to the truck.  Dan used his AAA towing service to get picked up at the malt shop and taken home.

We got in a lot riding and will have to schedule another trip to address the conditions on 2W01.

monthly meetings

Club Meetings are  held at a Dualie members home the 1st Thursday of each month.  Be sure to look on our Facebook page for any meeting updates or send us an e-mail at ocdualies.com.  Registered club members also receive an email reminder each month from our communications officer.

Dualie Burgers are served from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM for an $8.00 donation.  Bring your own beverage to drink and car, truck or motorcycle parking is always free.

After dinner, the club will introduce new attendees and members so we have the opportunity to know them and find out what kind of motorcycle they ride.  Often new and old members will share a story about a recent ride or their plans for new ride.  Meetings are casual and a good way to socialize with other members and learn more about dual sport riding.

Once club business is finished, the club typically plans a club ride the Saturday after the meeting.

Meetings generally last until 9:00 PM or longer if weather permits and the host doesn't kick us out.
