White Elephant Exchange
Dualies and family members are all welcome to participate
To participate bring a wrapped gift with minimum value of $35.00 or more
Participants will receive (1) raffle ticket for each gift to determine the order of play.
After all tickets are distributed, one ticket will be randomly drawn to determine the 1st player.
The 1st player selects a gift from the pool, opens it and must share for all to see.
The player then draws another ticket to determine who goes next and so on
The next player can choose an unwrapped gift or steal a gift that has already been opened.
Anyone who has their gift stolen in this way can do the same (pick a new gift or steal another gift)
To keep things moving along, there are a couple of limits on gift swapping
A gift can only be stolen once per turn
This means a player that has a gift stolen from them will have to wait to get it back another turn
After 3 steals, a gift is "frozen" and can no longer be stolen
After all players have taken their turn, the first player gets one final chance
They may swap the gift he or she is holding for any other opened gift.
Anyone whose gift is stolen may steal from someone else (as long as that person hasn't been stolen from yet)
When someone declines to steal a gift or all gifts are frozen, the game comes to an end.
